Wow it was a fantastic way to bring in the New Year... taking a refreshing dip at Sunnyside Beach while helping raising funds for Habitat for Humanity. As a team we had 3 goals this year and we're happy to have achieved them. We wanted to double our number of participants to 24, have women participation and be the #1 fundraising team. We did it! Congratulations to everyone who braved the frigid waters of Lake Ontario and THANK YOU to my sponsors for helping me reach my goal of $1000. As a team we raised over $7000 and more than $10,000 in 2 years.
We are looking forward to next year and I'd love to see the numbers double again to 50 participants! This year Habitat for Humanity raised over $25,000 and this will build a house for a family in need.
